• Dartmouth, famous for its many close involvements with the sea and seafarers over the centuries, is often the first port of call for yachtsmen crossing Lyme Bay. Although now a busy holiday town, Dartmouth, with its Royal Naval College overlooking the Harbour, always has an active waterfront whatever the time of year.



• This Chandlery was originally opened at Easter 1991 in a grade 2 listed building at the centre of this favourite watering hole for yachtsmen. Owned and operated by Lindy Robinson, a born and bred Dartmothian, and her Husband Chris, a seasoned yachtsman with over 30 years experince in the marine trade, 'Shipmates' is one of the few remaining real working chandleries left in the UK.



• At this branch Shipmates offers a full and comprehensive range of chandlery,electronics, safety equipment,ropes and rigging, yachting and leisure clothing & footwear to both resident and visiting yachtsmen, all at fabulous prices.
  
  
• Laid out on two floors, the Chandlery on the ground floor is a positive aladdin's cave of equipment and general marine paraphernalia. Being main agents for International, Blakes and Awlgrip there is a dedicated paint store brimming with over 95% of their range.
  
  
• Our first floor showroom is dedicated to Sailing and Leisurewear with probably one of the best selections from all the leading brands. We carry comprehensive stocks of Henri- Lloyd, Dubarry, Quayside, Gill, Helly Hansen etc.
