We at chandlery.co.uk view customer security as an issue of great importance. We use an advanced encryption system that protects your card payment information and address details before they leave your computer, and only makes them intelligible again when they reach our card processing centre. These measures make placing your order by internet at least as safe as the post, telephone or fax alternatives.

Delivery Information (UK)

We offer Three delivery options:

Standard Delivery: £5.00.

Delivery is normally within 48 hours, two working days should be allowed. Please note that any orders placed on a Saturday/Sunday will not be processed until the following Monday. (see exceptions)

Shortages and damages must be notified within 48 hours of receipt of the delivery.

EXCEPTIONS
Orders over 20 kilos in weight will be charged at cost.

Express Delivery: £12.00.

This is a next-working-day service for UK mainland and Ulster addresses (Not available for the Scottish Highlands), provided that you order before 1200 noon. Orders received after 1200 will be processed on the next working day, so take one day longer to arrive. Your package will arrive between 9am and 6pm, and must be signed for on receipt, so please ensure there will be somebody available to take delivery. ( If no one is in at the time of delivery small parcels will usually be taken to the nearest post office to await collection. Larger items will be returned to the depot and a card left asking you to advise a delivery time that is convenient or can be collected in person.)

Collect From Dartmouth: FOC

This service has been introduced for our regular customers who are able to call and collect their orders and just want to ensure their requirements are in stock and available when they arrive in Dartmouth. Please order before 12.00 noon on Wednesdayt to ensure the items are available from PM on Friday afternoon.

We endeavour to check all items prior to despatch but if there is a problem with your purchase please inform us as quickly as possible so we can resolve the matter speedily and to your satisfaction.

Returns

Returns are accepted within 14 days provided that the item is unused and in new condition. Original card and packaging should be returned with the item where possible. Buyer is responsible for secure packaging, and return postage / insurance costs. We strongly advise you to send returns via recorded delivery.

If you need a size change, please send back with a covering letter detailing your requirements.

In the event that an item is returned for a size change there will be a charge for carriage as follows:-

£9.95 Carriage charge UK 24hrs

 

Guarantee

Whilst every effort is made to ensure that your goods are of the highest quality, in the event of there being any defect at all, please return the item to the above address, and we shall refund any postage and replace the defective items or refund the purchase price in full.

Shipmates Chandlers Limited reserve to the right to decline or refuse any orders where credit card payments cannot be processed, the product required is unavailable or for any other reason within or without the control of the company. Where an order is declined, Shipmates Chandlers Limited will notify the customer and refund any payment, already made, as soon as possible.

Terms and Conditions

The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 generally apply to sales to consumers made by sellers acting in the course of a business, which have been made at a distance. In other words, where there's no face-to-face contact between the seller and the consumer before the contract is made. The Distance Selling Regulations apply to most items purchased via this web site. The Regulations also provide a period of seven working days after the date of receipt within which the consumer can cancel the contract (often referred to as the "cooling off" period) and get their money back. The consumer can be asked to return the goods at their own expense, but only if the seller informed them of this requirement before the contract was made (see terms above under returns section). As a business seller we have provided the information required under the Distance Selling Regulations (as discussed above). The cancellation rights do not apply to certain items including software, audio or video recordings that have been unsealed, perishable goods such as food or flowers, or items that have been made to order.
